The University of Michigan Health System offers advice for limiting kids' TV time.
In case you decide children are spending too much time before the television, the School of Mich Health Process offers these hints for constraining kids' TELEVISION time:
- Fixed rules about when TV just isn't allowed, including during food or study.
- Restrict TV to no greater than two hours each day.
- Do not let your child to view TV until homework as well as chores usually are finished.
- Should your child is doing poorly inside school, look at abolishing TELEVISION altogether.
- Target conversation instead of television, and spend more time studying together.
- Encourage exercise and pastimes. Don't use TV like a reward, consequence or babysitter.
